Edward Carroll

Signal Sept. 15, 1960

Edward Carroll, 69 years old, died in a Cape hospital after being a patient four days.

A native of Rockview, Mr. Carroll was born August 23, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carroll. He lived at Rockview until April 1919 when he moved to Chaffee shortly after his marriage to Miss Amanda Marie Wille of Tilsit, who survives. The couple had lived in Chaffee since that time.

Mr. Carroll was a retired timber worker employed as a logger for Chaffee Lumber Co. And also did private hauling until illness forced his retirement in 1955. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Chaffee.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Jessie, Lloyd, Eugene and Ollie Carrol; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Kirby; two brothers, Lee and Louis Carroll; seven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home with the Rev. L. E. Butler of the First Methodist Church officiating, with burial in the Rockview Cemetery.
