Mrs. Homer Imhoff (Georgia Henrietta Davis)

Chaffee-March 27, 1984

       Mrs. Homer C. Imhoff, 75, of Chaffee died at 5:05 a.m. March 27 at St. Francis Medical Center at Cape.

       The former Georgia Henrietta Davis was born Sept. 16, 1908, at Brookfield, the daughter of Wm. & Laura Green Davis.

       On May 2, 1931, she married Homer C. Imhoff, who survives.

       She was a member of the First Christian Church at Chaffee.

       Also surviving are; a son Harry Imhoff, Chaffee, daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Kryn) Graser & Mrs. James (Margaret) Phegley of Chaffee, a brother, Wm. A. Davis of Flat River, MI, a sister Mrs. Claudine Bailey, of Denver, CO. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

       Services were held at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Wm. Marshall & Rev. Larry Hirshberger officiating.

       Burial was in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.

       Pallbearers were Dennis Graser, James Phegley, Dennis Graser, Jr., Mide Vaught, Harry Imhoff, Jr., & Paul Bitner.

Homer C. Imhoff

            Homer C. Imhoff of Chaffee died Friday, November 27, 1998 at his home. He was 89.

            He was born June 19, 1909, son of Leonard T. and Margaret Reichrath Imhoff. He married Henrietta Davis May 2, 1931, at Brookfield. She died March 28, 1984. He married Evelyn Smalley Davis May 7, 1987. She survives.

            He worked in the shoe industry for 48 years and was in management for the Brown Shoe Co. in Murphysboro, Il and in Brookfield and Charleston, MO.

            He later worked at Sports Specialty Shoemakers in Chaffee and subsequently retired in 1975 as plant manager of the Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee.

            He was a member of the Chaffee City Council and mayor pro tem, past president of the Chaffee Rotary Club and a member of the Chaffee Chamber of Commerce

 

James A. Inman

Chaffee-Sept. 24, 1966   Missourian

    Services were conducted this afternoon at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home for Andrew James Inman of Chaffee, who died early Saturday at a hospital in St. Louis. The R.L. Robinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated and interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery near Poplar Bluff. Mr. Inman was 72 years old.

    Mr. Inman was a retired employee of the Frisco Railroad. He began his career with the railroad in 1916 as a bridge and building helper, advancing to inspector of this department for the river division. He retired September 15, 1959.

    Born April 9, 1894, in this state, Mr. Inman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Inman.

    On December 23, 1922, he married Miss Edna Casey of Poplar Bluff.

    Mr. Inman was a member of the Greenville Lodge 107, AF and AM at Greenville, the Capaha Scottish Rite Club of Southeast Missouri, St. Louis Consistory, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3127, American Legion Post 389, Frisco Employees Club and Southeast Missouri Beagle Club.

   Only close survivors are his wife and a sister, Mrs. Early Wells of Glasgow.
