Is the Chaffee Historical Society connected with the City of Chaffee?
The Chaffee Historical
Society is NOT affiliated with the City of Chaffee in any manner.
To pay our bills we have fund raising activities and we also receive funds
from our members who pay membership dues. We have been blessed
with gifts from citizens of our community, and although our checking
account is pretty thin, we believe we can keep the Historical Society
Museum open to the public.
It must cost a lot of money to maintain a Web-Site on the Internet, who
pays for that?
The Chaffee Historical
Society must pay an annual payment to register our domain name of
www.chaffeehistory.com
and also to maintain a presence on the internet. We use our own
unpaid volunteers to maintain and
administer the content of our web-site.
How come you do not have anything about the history of
....................?
The Chaffee Historical
Society is a lot like Chaffee..........it was not built in a day and we
cannot get the history of our community on our web-site in a day
either. We are adding content to our site as fast as our
"volunteer" helpers time and resources allow. Drop
us an email and let us know what content you would like to see and we will
attempt to make that information available. AND, we are
looking for volunteers, please come and help us.
